Fall 2010 : Cushnie Et Ochs

February 12, 2010

The manipulation and texture of the fabrics at Cushnie et Ochs Fall 2010 show were absolutely drool worthy.  From jackets and skirts with holes resemblant of those found in Jarlsberg cheese, and dresses with sculptural embellishments that looked as delicious as swirled buttercream frosting atop a cake, it was hard not to lust over everything. Looking at this collection felt a bit like being in a museum, I wanted to touch E V E R Y T H I N G.

At times, a collection can be overly textured to the point that it feels unwearable. Well, let me be the one to say that this was NOT the case for Cushnie et Ochs. Right down to the hats and pony-haired shoes, every piece not only looked comfortable, but felt entirely wearable.
